Ballito Accommodation began in 1983 with a ledger book and a handful of beach cottages. Today the same family desk cares for ±165 privately-owned luxury homes and apartments across Ballito, Chaka's Rock, Salt Rock and Sheffield Beach.

We've opened the doors.

A card table, a rotary phone and a ledger book on Compensation Beach Road. We're letting a handful of beach cottages for owners who'd rather their homes were full of families than standing empty. If you know someone who wants a December by the sea, tell them to ring us — a real person answers.

Fifty homes, and word keeps travelling.

The portfolio has passed fifty privately-owned homes, now stretching up the coast through Chaka's Rock and Salt Rock. Guests who came as children are booking for their own children. We've hired more hands for the counter, but the rule stands: every home personally inspected, every key handed over with a welcome.

The ledger retires; the welcome note doesn't.

Bookings have moved online and the old ledger has earned its place on the shelf. What hasn't changed: the handwritten welcome note on the kitchen counter, the housekeeper who knows which gate sticks, and the second generation of the family now running the desk at 29 Sandra Road.

Forty-two years on, we look after ±165 luxury self-catering homes and apartments from Ballito to Sheffield Beach, with an Owners Portal giving our homeowners live statements and calendars. Third-generation guests still book by name — and a real person still answers the phone.

No home joins the collection until someone from our office has walked every room, tested the geyser and slept-checked the beds. We let homes we'd put our own families in.
