1.Information we collect

We collect only what we need to arrange and manage your stay or your property listing:

• Booking details — name, SA ID or passport number, contact details, home town, party size and stay dates.
• Payment details — processed by our accredited payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
• Owner details — contact information, property address and banking details for statement payments.
• Correspondence — enquiries by phone, email, WhatsApp or through forms on this website.
• Mailing-list details — your email address, if you choose to join our mailing list.

2.How we use it

Your information is used to confirm and administer bookings, issue keys and breakage-deposit refunds, pay owners and produce Owners Portal statements, respond to enquiries, meet legal record-keeping duties, and — only if you've opted in — send occasional specials and season openings by email. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone. Information is shared only with the property owner (to the extent needed for your stay), our payment and IT service providers, and authorities where the law requires it.

3.Cookies

This website uses a small number of cookies: strictly necessary cookies that keep forms and bookings working, and basic analytics cookies that tell us — in aggregate, not by name — which pages are read most. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though forms may need re-entering.

4.POPIA compliance

We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). In terms of the Act you may, at any time:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy.
• Ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, out of date or no longer needed.
• Withdraw consent to marketing — every mailing includes an unsubscribe link, or simply tell the desk.
• Object to processing, or lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

We keep booking records only as long as the law and our accounting duties require, store them on secured systems with access limited to staff who need them, and require the same care from our service providers.
